[2008.11.04] Barack Obama Presidential Victory Speech
Barack Obama was declared the 44th President of the United States at 11:00 p.m ET on November 4, 2008. Obama addressed the nation for the first time as President-elect in front of a crowd of 125,000 people at Grant Park in Chicago at midnight on Tuesday shortly after McCain’s concession speech. “If there is anyone out there who doubts that America is a place where anything is possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer,” Obama declared.
