would you like to own the world's first iPhone laptop?

Posted on February 03, 2009 by Denis

UPDATE: Notebook is sold to a lucky Craigslist customer and is no longer available. (2009-02-03 12:57:56)

Well okay, it's not a phone but it has all the touchscreen eyecandy of an iPhone plus more! So I'm selling a brand new, upgraded HP TouchSmart tx2z notebook for $1,140 or your better offer. This notebook is the world's first consumer multi-touchscreen notebook that emulates the productivity and stylishness of the iPhone. I received this notebook as a holiday gift early December but have no need for it as I already have two other laptops. This notebook model with all the upgrades (listed below) costed the buyer $1,244 plus tax which came out to $1,350.

If you are interested or would like to make a better offer, send me a private message. Thanks!

ZipZoomFly selling Hitachi 1TB HD for $89.99 AR

Posted on October 08, 2008 by Denis

So two months ago, I thought I missed a great deal (which turned out to be a pricing error) from Dell -- a 1TB hard drive starting at $109.99. Lo and behold, ZipZoomFly is offering a even better one -- $89.99 1TB Hitachi HD after $30 mail-in-rebate (originally $119.99)! Read more

Dell selling Seagate 1TB internal HD for $109.99

Posted on August 16, 2008 by Denis

UPDATE: I called Dell today and they told me my order will be cancelled because there was either a pricing error or they're sold out. What a bummer!!!

  • As of Aug 18th, evening: Some people have had theirs shipped. Most have orders that are "in production". Some have reported cancellation. My order status is "Order Processing" with estimated ship date August 19.
  • As of Aug 17th, evening: Deal is dead, the original link doesn't work now. Another link for the drive at $200 works. (2008-08-19 14:27:12)

Talk about perfect timing... just when my rig's 320GB external hard drive is almost at capacity, Dell offers this spectacular deal which I've just picked up:

$109.99 after instant discount for a Seagate 1TB (1,000 GB) internal HD before tax as compared to $179.99 original price. In addition, you can take an additional 4% off by using Dell Preferred Account. That's around $0.11 per gigabyte -- the lowest I've seen to-date. I figured that 1TB HD would last quite awhile and would be a good investment for those who do a lot of torrenting (like me). Cool

Seagate 1TB Internal HD

5 year MFG Warranty

Highlights

  • Adaptive Fly Height offers consistent read/write performance
  • Clean Sweep automatically calibrates drive each time the drive is powered up
  • SoftSonic motor enables ultra-quiet operation
  • Enhanced G-Force Protection defends against handling damage
  • Perpendicular Recording increases data density while decreasing moving parts
